Meditation - Science

Meditation isn't religious, it is science. When you meditate, your brainwaves slow down from beta to alpha to even theta. That's when your subconscious opens up and that is when deep healing begins. Your prefrontal cortex, which is also known as your neocortex, which is your decision making, your thinking brain, starts to light up. Amygdala, your fear center, starts to calm down. Even your genes start changing. Yes, meditation can turn off stress genes and turn on health promoting genes. That's epigenetics in action.
