Introduction
Living is to seek happiness. To satisfy demands is one way to bring happiness to mankind. To reduce suffering is also a way to increase happiness. Throughout the history of mankind, man never stopped searching for satisfaction and reducing suffering to achieve life's aim and man is usually concerned with self existence - where did we come from, why are we born and what will happen after death? Man has never stopped thinking of the unchangeable life cycle, birth-age-death. From generation to generation, these questions plague the minds of us today.
Since the past few centuries, the mechanisms of civilization and applied science brought mankind to the "technical science" in which mankind has become familiar with the meticulous analysis and from time to time won mankind's trust by the mathematical equations, results from highly technical laboratories. This technical mechanism of civilization has developed quickly in meeting man's material demands, bringing many people out of the poverty but at the same time taking people away from nature, the sources that directly effect mankind.
On the health issue, the present scientific civilization has won over many kinds of illnesses, which have killed a lot of people in the past and at the same time, is making people dependant on new scientific discoveries, operational skill and drugs. To come to the present "development", this civilization has directly or indirectly taken people out of the connection with nature, destroyed the environment and is facing difficulties with the environmental pollution issue and seems to be helpless towards many new illnesses that may kill people within a short period of time. The government budgets involve huge amounts for health but are still unable to meet the public demands. Meanwhile, in the developing countries, the public health along with health insurance is still very low, there are many people having no financial capacity to treat their illnesses and suffering with many kinds of sicknesses.
By the end of 20th century, when the new mathematical and physical postulates proved that Isaacs Newton's theories were out of date, when science is at an "impasse" situation, when people have to face many unsolvable matters. Some people had been searching Eastern philosophies, to dig the treasure of old philosophy that once being treated as legendary studies.
Human and Universal Energy ("HUE") was one of many discoveries in the past many thousand of years, being forgotten for some time and being treated as superstition because of the so-called "applied physics science" but now it has been proved by Professor Doctor Luong Minh Dang that its existence is true and has been researched and developed further to become a medical branch which is very helpful for people's health.
Human being is a dwindled universe therefore it must carry almost all the universal characters. Universe is formed by energy. Human being is also the formation and operating of
energy. Human being lives by energy, not by the chemical, commonly known as drugs.
HUE methods help human beings absorb the universal energy to supply for the physical body demand, HUE fills up any energy shortages in the body's organs to help the physical body to normalize its functions, control any illnesses and relieve any pain so that drugs are no longer needed to use.
HUE uses the unlimited energy of nature and the universe that accompany us wherever we are to prevent and heal illnesses. "HUE Medicine" costs nothing and therefore anyone, rich or poor, are able to use.
HUE is not a religion but helps the practitioners, through meditation and development of compassion, to apprehend the core truths in their religion.
HUE is not itself an individual medical branch which is able to replace other medical branches but if combined with Western medicine and etc,, it will definitely help many people in healing their illnesses and substantially reduce health budgets as well as to assist the poor in developing countries by giving them more opportunities to overcome illnesses.
Professor Doctor Luong Minh Dang is not a person who was trained in a Western style medicine school to be a doctor of western medicine. He is not an Eastern medical practioner who treats patients by herbs, acupuncture, and acupressure and is not a monk using the healing as a means to preach any religion, He was lucky to have a miraculous opportunity to have practice meditation and through meditation, he discovered and researched a healing method by universal energy. After 20 years of studying, since 1987, Prof. Luong firstly commenced the introduction of HUE in USA and spread this throughout the world by two methods, healing and training practitioners.
In a period of 13 years, the HUE that Prof. Luong has developed has trained nearly 2 million students in all social classes over the world. And also in that short period, he and his fellow practitioners have healed more than 30 million people worldwide who have suffered from many prolonged illnesses.
At this unbelievable result of HUE, in June 1994, Prof. Doctor Luong was honored in Munich, Germany, the Doctor of Philosophy by the Open International University for Complementary Medicines, Sri Lanka and in April 1996, Doctor of Science-Honors Causa at Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 2001, he was awarded Knight Commander and also Albert Schweitzer Award.
This book is not a detailed study on the source and application of HUE in healing, but it aims at introducing a complementary medicine branch that has a capacity to reduce human being's suffering from illnesses and to provide an activist approach on cutting health budget and costs for governments and individuals all over the world if HUE is correctly applied in accordance with its functions.
